A really unusual antique German silver gilt necklace dating to the early 20th century.
The necklace features the makers mark 'Zaun' but unfortunately I have struggled to find any further information on this name during research except for a rather amazing bowl offered at auction back in 2013 - .
The necklace is beautifully crafted featuring swirled silver panels framing pink and green semi precious stones, most likely rhodonite or agate.
The necklace features a secure push clasp marked with the silver grade '835' with the makers mark 'ZAUN' and a crescent moon and crown assay mark.
The necklace is in good antique condition.
